1. At first, dating in the city is exciting.
2. There are so many options everywhere!
3. But after two hours — and three trains! — to reach an impossible part of Queens for a terrible coffee date…
4. …you start learning the hard lesson that dating in NYC is rough stuff.
5. Because so many people are focused on themselves.
6. Everyone’s too broke to pay for anyone else.
7. Someone who lives in a separate borough basically lives abroad.
8. Sober dates? Nope, not really a thing.
9. Meet someone cool at a bar? Well, he or she is probably only here on business.
10. And no matter what, everyone seems to be having better luck than you. :-(
